How To Set Up A Broadcast Email.
Many of my subscribers use Microsoft Outlook 2000 for email.
Some have asked about how to send a single broadcast email to
all their prospects at once.
Here are the steps necessary to create a distribution list:
It is obviously necessary to launch Microsoft Outlook 2000.
You would then click "File"... "New"... then "Distribution
List."
In the "Name" field you should type a name for your distribution
list. Click on "Select Members." As you press the
"Ctrl" key on your keyboard you should also click the names of
the prospects you want to include in your distribution list.
You will then click "Add" ... click "OK"... click "Save" and
"Close." You'll want to give your list a name.
At this point you will see your new distribution list appear
your "Contacts" folder.
Now you're ready to broadcast to your prospects. Click on
"File" ... click "New" ... click "Mail Message." A new
untitled Message Window will appear. Next you will click
"To" and select the Distribution List you just created.
Here's how to make the message appear to have been sent to those
on your Distribution List individually rather than as a
group: Click "Bcc" and then click "OK" ... followed by you
composing your message, just as if you're sending it to one
person individually. Of course, you'll then click
"Send."
